This workshop is delving deeper into an essential element of humanity: communication, through letter-writing workshops, we invited people to experience communicating through writing letters to family and strangers, to themselves, to objects, to concepts, and places. Hosted at Wabi-Sabi Creative Space, 14 writers manifested connecting in a slower rhythm, through 6 sessions of reading, writing and designing stamps.
In this workshop we share methods and tools that embrace the chaos of ourselves and everyday life; ways to express and document situations, and give weight to what may seem as “unimportant”. In every session participants reflect on their lives by merging several methods; starting from writing, illustrating, and taking pictures to mark making, collage, and experimenting with colors and ink.
A workshop on how writing could be a tool to manage and resolve creative blocks. Throughout 3 sessions participants had time to learn techniques, tricks, and games that can help overcome a creative freeze. We also got to discuss some practices such as brainstorming and developing a creative routine. This workshop was a step forward toward forming a community for "creative support" where we can meet from time to time to practice, share, get feedback, and maybe even to form our own archive for conceptual and visual references.
