A project of various phases exploring rhythm and advocting slowing down. Through several online and offline workshops, we go through conversations and create a personal context where expression takes place...
Along the past few years Swimming with the Whales has gained more voices joining its invitation to experiment, play, hoping to figure things out. We work alone and together, we discuss dreams and try each other’s tools. It's fun, frustrating, refreshing, and triggering, like a late night adventure.

Alaa is the one who started all this mess, inspired by a dream she had one night. She has so many friendly obsessions and hopes one day she'd have her own farm.
Noha disguises as an IT expert. She has lots of unrealized artistic ideas. She is an anime freak and an avid reader who happens to be good with numbers and excel sheets. She's also Alaa's very good friend.
Esraa is a true experimental artist with lots of passion. She's the sensitive one in the gang. Her clothes are always stained with colors and her brain is always pouring with daring colorful visual ideas.
Mohamed seems to be a quiet person but deep down he's a rebel. He's usually busy with big existential questions and reflections, and he loves to take a special picture of himself on his birthday.
In December 2024, we were able to bring Swimming with the Whales to public exposure and discussions through participating in CABF 3rd Edition. We exhibited five publications including 2 artbooks, a visual ethnography, a children's bedtime story and a photobook.
